The Opposition Leader does not say how to take power and give relief to the people

 

 UNP is ready for any election

 

Former National Organizer of the United National Party and former Minister Navin Dissanayake says that the people can expect a presidential election in the year 2023.

The former Minister also mentions that he requested President Ranil Wickramasinghe to hold the presidential election, general election and local government election on the same day as the opposition is continuously demanding an election.

Naveen Dissanayake who said that a presidential election can be held after March 2023 by August, and accordingly the people will have the opportunity to decide who should be appointed to the Executive, also points out that the best choice of the people is a presidential election.

Navin Dissanayake also says that even though former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksha was appointed for 5 years term, since he left during the term, a new President should be appointed through a presidential election and according to the constitution, 2023 is the best time to hold the presidential election. He also mentions that if the presidential election, general election and local government election are held on one day, the cost and wastage can be reduced.

Navin Dissanayake who stated that these days the leaders of the party are discussing together how to bring the United National Party back to the people actively targeting all those elections, says that the interviews of the organizers held last week were very successful and very talented and young people showed interest to join the party.

Navin Dissanayake while pointing out that certain divisions have been created in the opposition and that the MPs do not present their views from the same stance, mentioned that even though the Opposition leader pledges to grant concessions to the people after he gets power, he does not explain how these concessions will be granted.
